Domain Name Investing
Unfortunately the normal folk of the world usually head for the traditional investment of housing real estate and the stock market. I for one, tried my hand in the stock market around the year 2003, but what I didn’t realise along with many others was that I was standing on the biggest ‘GOLD MINE’ imaginable, domain names, short domain names in particular. It was late 2005 this reality hit me and I discovered domain names and more importantly ‘SHORT’ .com domain names. Read on to get in on the most amazing modern investment in history: Short domain names (otherwise known as an internet web address)
Over the years, it has become evident that short domain names are turning out to be a great investment, according to what history has shown us: 2 letter .com domain names from the early 1990’s are now worth from $70,000 to over 1 million dollars each, 3 letter .com domain names are now worth over $10,000 on average. 4 letter and 5 letter domain names
Go to the links to the right hand side of this blog to add some 4 letter or 5 letter.com domain names to your domain name portfolio, or to build a domain name portfolio now if you don’t have a one already
When you start getting into two word .com domain names or other extension domain names like .net, .org, .info .biz etc, you open yourself up to large amounts of risk unless you spend the majority of your life researching them. That is why short .com domain names are so great, find some LLLL.com (4 letter.com’s) that appeal to you. If going for 5 letter .com domain names, get the ones that are the most pronouceable and look nice on the eye or are very catchy.
Please dont get 4 or 5 letter domain names that have numbers mixed in with them. If they have numbers mixed in they lose al value the majorty of the time, so go for pure all letter short domain names
A note particularly for 4 letter.com doamin names: You will notice prices differ on letter quality, repeat letters and letter positioning in LLLL.com 4 letter domain names. i, e, o, b, l, c, d, m, n, p, s, t are usually classified as Super premium letters so the names that contain 4 of those letter cost more, if a letter ‘f’ or ‘h’ is thrown in the mix, the domain name then becomes a quad premium and not super quad premium. Throw a letter ‘u’ or a letter ‘w’ in the mix and the 4 letter domain name is still considered premium by some, but the price will be lower most of the time than a normal quad premium.
Throw a letter x,z,q or y in the mix and the price lowers again quite dramatically. But letter positioning is important, 4 letter domain names with any letters can be valuable depending on where they are postiioned and what that could stand for.
Pronounceable 4 letter .com domain names are also valuable but the most valuable are ones that follow a CVCV, Consonant Vowel, Consonant Vowel pattern, VCVC is also good but they usually go for a lower price than CVCV 4 letter domain names. Other pronounceables are also good, but their price usually relies on strength of pronouceablilty and letter quality
The investment of now and the investment of the future, short .com domain names
